How to Choose the Right Shade of Concealer

Concealer literally means something that conceals and corrects deficiencies on the face and body. Concealers have always played an important role in the make-up, especially for people who are preparing for photography, film, TV show, etc.

You can't change the shape of your face, but you can experiment with the color of the concealer to highlight what's the best on your face, and cover the flaws.

How to use concealer?

Concealers are different in shades and texture. They come in liquid, cream, powder or sticks, but below we indicate their use by shades.

In the picture above you'll see the basic rules of applying concealer in colors, of course not all of the colors are used at the same time and in that intensity, but this image can serve you as a framework within which you will find out how to emphasize you beauty with the correct shade of the concealer.

Concealer for dark circles

Good concealer for dark circles has a yellow base. The yellow color of the concealer neutralizes blue color of dark circles.

Concealer to cover tattoos

Assuming that this is a blue tattoo, use a yellow concealer. Also, choose the waterproof and very durable, so that it doesn't leave any marks on clothing.

Dark age spots

Choose a yellow concealer.

Bruises

Yellow bruises you can cover with concealer rosy shades, and red bruises with the green concealer.

Acne, red spots

For these problems, use a green concealer or yellow, but make sure to apply concealer over the required quality powder so that the green isn't visible, and which will not remove the green color.

Recommendation

***Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage***

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage - # SC1 ( For Very Fair Skin Tones ) 7.7g/0.26oz

I LOVE this stuff. The smaller, lighter, neutralizer on the right is great really dark circles, or blemishes. The color concealer on the left is awesome. Very creamy, easy to apply, and leaves a healthy silky finish when blended. Also very nice to apply around the lip line to give a more defined lip area, instead of using a liner that will fade around the edges. A bit pricey, but well worth the money!!
